The endeavor to find and experience of the hidden truth is not solely a romantic notion, but one that we all know and have experienced. Some of us however may have taken this search further than the others. Bas Jan Ader’s epic journey as a part of his work series In Search of the Miraculous can be seen in this light: an attempt to enter the realm of an unknown state of mind by physically doing so.
The miraculous unknown though may not reside in the point of departure nor the point of arrival but what is in between. A revelation that can not be attributed neither to the source and nor to the destination but to the dis-continuum between them.
In these series of works ‘On the Edge of the Miraculous’, I investigate such phenomena from a personal perspective.
